President Lee Jae Myung shared a video on social media, Friday, alleging that Israeli soldiers abused a Palestinian child and then threw him off a rooftop.

The text reads (according to Google translate)

I need to find out if this is true, and if so, what measures were taken.

The forced prostitution of comfort women that we take issue with is no different from the Holocaust or wartime killings.

So he’s linking it to comfort women, Korean forced prostitutes to the Japanese army during WWII. Makes sense that Korea is taking issue with shit like this, they know how bad occupying forces can get.

People don’t often think of Korea as a colony, but Japan was doing the same settler colonial shit to them the Europeans were doing everywehre else, and continue to do in Israel.

    South Korean president even.
I would imagine the political interest South Korea has about Israel would generally be pretty limited, it’s outside their cultural sphere. So for South Korea to notice the atrocities of Israel is quite an accomplishment by Israel.

I think Europe may have more in common with South Korea than USA now, and certainly what we have with Israel.

Even in Japan, where I never really heard of anyone really bothering about the problems in other countries, people have taken notice and started holding protests.

Israel is literally committing worse than genocide. It’s a holocaust. There’s no denying it. It’s the systematic extermination of any Arab or Muslim people in the area.

I teach a middle aged accountant English, and we never really talk about politics but he brought up the US attacking Iran and Israel’s atrocities out of the blue during one of our lessons. He said he was really sorry for bringing up politics, but I was extremely impressed to see someone in Japan have a stance on world politics (other than being anti China and anti Korea lol).

I think you’re absolutely right. Even Japanese people are starting to notice.
