  • I’m chuckling a bit (in a negative way) at the abject perversion of this mentality, because of course this happened.

Isn’t this how we think of all pollution? Global warming? We don’t have to worry about this today, so we won’t. Maybe some nebulous, nonexistent white knight of a someone will figure it out before its an immediate problem…

  • This play, yelling a Zelensky, with the Vice-Dachshund yapping alongside him is all a perception management game to garner base support for a thing they intended to do anyway.

It’s working too. Republicans do this loyalty thing where they all stand in a straight line and repeat the mantras Shapiro and company tell them to while DEMs don’t even like one another and constantly argue and gate keep in house as to what liberal means while rolling over and doing nothing effective. Though not in unity, never that.

Memes are even rounding now labeling Zelensky a dangerous dictator. The narrative is: Z attacked innocent Russians living in Ukraine thus inciting the Russian attack, to defend them, thus bringing the Russian invasion in on himself. Pure bullshit, but it’s being repeated, and it’s sticking, in party.

Again, perception management that doubles in laying groundwork for the second item. Trump WANTS to play with the biggest war chest on the planet, like he played in the cab of the construction vehicle on live television. Last go he was surrounded by people who said no or nodded yes while doing nothing. This go, we are all in serious trouble. War makes money, especially for President Elon Musk, so I will be surprised if it’s not already being planned.

It’s all a game. Drama. Zelensky didn’t need to cross the globe for a conversation, only to be there on the stage as planned for the drama. Don’t believe him. DONT believe him when he says Zelenskys behavior at the meeting lost him his funding. Ukraine was already dropped, this was just a dramatization for effect.

And the wobbly creation of a potential patsy when Trump starts WW3.

  • The US has already lost its dominance. Anything you think you see to that end atm is general inertia. People are mentally prone to incredible inertia in behaviors.

The signs of power vacuum between first trump term and second trump term are there. China. Israel. Russia. And now the world is already rallying together against the new world bully.

Because that is who Trump is. A bully with a giant war chest. No one likes a bully. Incidentally, on the psych side, they usually have daddy issues and/or have been abused at home.

The brunt of it ends when Trump dies in his sleep from his medical ailments (he doesn’t look good). And then we see the real agenda of the people around him in this admin, in full force. Likely less erratic with the war chest though, and more focused on destroying any and all remnants of power and will to live in the working class.

  • It’s interesting that conservative circles are lauding Trump for removing the US from wars in “matters that don’t concern us”. Their take, not mine.

And yet. All of this feels like a seismic shift prefacing going to war.

Even the first term I always had the sense Trump wanted to play with war toys. Akin to him acting like a little boy playing with toy truck when behind the wheel of a construction vehicle. Now he’s more erratic than ever before, and has the people around him willing to do his bidding.

And this is not an administration that would hesitate to draft people.
