Sucks that EU privacy protections only apply to corporations, and the governments are going for full government backdoors in everything possible.

I have a strong suspicion that they’re capturing screenshots & data, whether you have recall enabled or not, and that’s why the performance on Windows 11 is so drastically worse. Turning on Recall probably just turns on users visibility, or some additional digestion of the data.
Privacy from companies? Kinda. Privacy from government surveillance? Absolutely the fuck not.

Get a vpn provider. Set the location as the Netherlands. Set up a docker container with deluge and openvpn, and set it up to use your vpn provider.
Voila. You only need run your torrent traffic through the vpn, and it’ll be on its own kill switch.
All it needs to do is produce less flaws than the average human. It’s already passed that mark for many general use cases (which many people said would never happen). The criticism is now moving to more and more specialized work, but the AI continues to improve in those areas as well.
You’re obviously not interacting with AI much. It is improving, and at an alarming rate. I’m astounded at the difference between AI now vs 3 years ago. They’re moving to new generations in a matter of months.
This particular anti-AI stance always reminds me of religion gradually losing ground to science.
It’s been pointed out by some folks that if religion’s domain is only ‘what science can’t explain,’ then the domain of religion is continuously shrinking as science grows to explain more and more.
If your anti-AI stance is centered on ‘it wastes power and is wrong too often,’ then your criticism becomes more irrelevant as the accuracy improves and models become more efficient.
And if you play simulator games, especially any that use extra peripherals, it’s not even worth trying.
The issue is also that they’re all either run by Israel or intelligence agencies, or they comply with their backdoor access to everything.
If it was actually a good, private vpn free from government spying, the governments would shut it down.
LoL. We’re pretending this is just a Trump thing now?
Brought to you by liberals who don’t want to destroy fascism, because they want to control it.
It was an obvious op from the beginning. You could tell by the people they were trotting out to sell it. Lots of liberal pro-authority types.
Good call. They couldn’t have been enforcing. Amnesia had a sanity meter, and it came out in 2010.
Fascist orgs are gonna fascism.
I don’t understand how they successfully patented this without challenge. Call of Cthulhu has a sanity system, and it came out in the 80’s.
We can require disclosure without providing a government backed monopoly. Especially when the modern world has corporations enjoying the benefits of the monopoly, at the expense of individuals.
A great starting point is guaranteeing a basic standard of living for all. No exceptions.
It’s still a misguided policy aimed at furthering the lie of individualism. Which why we have so many ridiculous true stories of parallel invention, and scientists racing to the patent office to claim full credit.
These people are building on the works of all those who came before. All should benefit from the results. And all should enjoy a basic standard of living, instead of this cut throat first past this finish line system, where all who fall behind will suffer.
You really need to read something that isn’t capitalist propaganda.
This is called being a “reactionary.” You don’t want to drastically change the system in ways that’ll make things better for all. You just want to return to a previous status quo you enjoyed.
Well yeah. DeepSeek destroyed any illusion that they could establish and maintain a monopoly on AI.
