That’s what currency controls are for 🙄
/u/outwrangle before everything went to shit in 2020, /u/emma_lazarus for a while after that, now I’m all queermunist!

That’s what currency controls are for 🙄

Denmark still claims currency control over Greenland. They can’t print their own money.
I simply recognize that the current government is the lesser evil compared to whatever regime the US/Israel want to install.
Don’t you believe in supporting the lesser evil?
Amerikkkans crave nuclear war.

And what makes you think other tactics are even possible?
If we can’t even form unions, we can’t do anything.

The people pushing AI don’t like like hearing, seeing, and reading about how other humans experience the world. They actually do just want flashing colors and sounds poured into their face holes. They’re basically incapable of understanding art.

We need to bring back Unemployed Councils.

>don’t siege Leningrad, take it immediately

Ojalá
Let them eat each other.

Yeah, the US and its puppets say the election was stolen!

Not just complicity, active collaboration and co-conspiracy.

The US has been stomping on international law my entire life.

As opposed to all the other times the US removed a sovereign foreign leader? I can name more than half a dozen off the top of my head and I know there’s way fucking more than that that I’d have to look up to remember. Same as it ever was.

I’m 60/40 thinking Trump is going to win here, because there’s no one to actually oppose him. In other cases where he’s tied up in court it’s because there’s political opposition. Who opposes this? A few progressives? It’s almost a bipartisan consensus.

They can also fast-track cases from the lower courts to accelerate them to the Supreme Court, and have done so. Another trick they have is to make an interim ruling without issuing a majority opinion through the so-called “shadow docket”. Then they can have the whole trial while the circus in the lower courts plays itself out. He could be in prison for years before they rule it unconstitutional.
Assuming Trump doesn’t push for public execution.

The lower courts can meaningfully delay Trump, but that lasts until it reaches the Supreme Court. The rigged 6-3 fascist Court almost always either rules in his favor, or delays an official ruling to let him get away with whatever he’s doing.

Trump has shown a tendency to just ignore procedure and just do whatever he wants. The only reason he wouldn’t be able to do that is if he was opposed, but who is going to oppose it? There’s a few Democrats, but not even a majority of the electeds. I doubt there’s a single Republican that’d oppose. Would the Supreme Court stop him?
I think he can make this as big and stupid as he wants, and unless the masses protest against it he’ll get away with it.

Unlike Vietnam, there are millions of people in the US that are either from or that have close family in Latin America. That’s why they spent the last year trying to deport and terrorize migrants, why they want to go after naturalized citizens, why they talk about going after “home growns” after they’ve finished rounding up the migrants, etc etc. It’s all laying the groundwork for this next stage.
We’ll see how well it works. I think they’re moving too fast and it’s going to blow up in their faces.
I’d love to see how they could do that without being allowed to speculate on the currency and under rigid currency controls. Currency sovereignty means they can literally control who has the currency, speculators can’t just buy it on the free market. A speculator would have to somehow acquire mass amounts of currency by trading physical goods or something else with real value for it (so no coming in with fistfulls of dollars and demanding they sell currency), and the government would be able to turn away customers that don’t pass certain requirements.
Of course then the US declares them “currency manipulators” like it does to any country that asserts its currency sovereignty and hits them with sanctions, but it doesn’t look like they’re safe from the US as-is so I don’t really see much of a difference.
This reeks of “the master protects his slaves and that’s why slaves benefit from being enslaved”
