Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons - pretty cool as you can play on 1 controller.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 (OG) - have awesome memories with it.
Earth Defence Force 4 or 5 - over the top bug extermination and built in split screen even on PC.
Last thing I can recommend is Saints Row 2, 3 and 4 (especially 3) - but you need something like Nucleus to play on the same device.

Games@lemmy.world•What open-world games on Steam have satisfying movement, like Arkham Knight or Spider-Man?English
32·8 months agoWhy not go to the original? Mirror’s Edge (2008) has still probably the best first person movement of any game. Unlike it’s sequel, It’s not an open world, but many cited it as a plus, since the levels still feel free but very well designed asking you to sprint through - and nearly the whole game you just run and climb with very few interruptions.
true, at least someone had their priorities straight!

Games@lemmy.world•Fortune's Run development put on hold because the dev is going to prisonEnglish
11·11 months agoI haven’t heard of this game before, so Streisand effect? To the judgement system?
On a more serious note people change, and the dev seems remorseful so maybe an early parole won’t be out of the question
Everspace is very cool - it’s a rouge like where you upgrade your ship as you progress with very unique skills and different branches.
I’m also in love with Cosmoteer - 2D game where you can build, rebuild, salvage enemy ships, eventually create a small fleet and experiment a lot with different designs.
