Huh, I’ve been watching them since like 2016 or so and I seem to remember him hosting more frequently back in the day. Seems like now he does most of the main channel videos while everyone else handles Short Circuit and the like. My personal theory is that Linus is grooming Elijah to be his replacement. But we’ll see.
He’s also put a lot of work into creating a team of hosts that are genuinely wonderful to watch. Riley, Jake, Sarah, James, and Elijah to name a few. Best thing he could do for his brand is step out of the limelight, focus on being “chief vision officer” and let his wonderful talent fully take over hosting.
A copyright strike is a little bit more serious than a content id match, fwiw.
The only answer I need from an AI is 42.
Damn so its gonna get even faster? My Windows install must have been more borked than I thought bc I already get performance parity at minimum. Guess I should have kept up with reformatting annually instead of biennially.
Maybe it’s system to system, or something with the older nvidia drivers, but I’ve specifically noticed the improved performance in Expedition 33 and Jedi: Fallen Order which I think are both DX11/12?
Just switch to CachyOS and so far I’ve noticed improved performance if anything (on a 3080 10gb). The latency difference between it and Windows is just unreal.
DOCIS 3.1 involves more than just speed. No point going over the speed limit if all the traffic lights are timed based on a certain speed. https://www.cablelabs.com/blog/how-docsis-3-1-reduces-latency-with-active-queue-management
If your provider has implemented it (Comcast is the only one i know of in north america) then Active Queue Management is a huge quality of life improvement that you won’t know you were missing unless you already had a router that implements queue management. https://www.cablelabs.com/blog/how-docsis-3-1-reduces-latency-with-active-queue-management
By default, WiFi Motion is set to detect even small amounts of movement in the motion-sensing areas, including motion caused by small pets.
holy shit lol
I live in Appalachia and people here regularly use ham for weather reports but that’s about it. If there was an actual emergency I assume that would be sent out as well.
As a holder of multiple CompTIA certificates I wholeheartedly agree that they’re useless. Unfortunately they’re by far the most common means of contractors (the actual people, not the companies) checking off the boxes to qualify for U.S. government IT contracts; which means they’re still relevant.
I’m curious to see how CompTIA responds to this. They already don’t allow you to take their exams in a VM or any kind of Linux. Presumably for the same “concerns” that the anti-cheat industry has.
MacOS stopped supporting 32-bit with Catalina and, according to appleinsider.com, older games won’t work on Catalina at all.
Wouldn’t the alternative be losing a LOT of old games on Steam?
You all don’t seem to understand, this is just the cost of progress!
On my Sony Bravia running Android you can just disable the Samba app from running same as you’d disable any app in Android.
I have a 3080 also. It’s only just starting to show it’s age with some of these new UE5 games. A couple weeks ago discovered dlssg-to-fsr3 and honestly i’ll take the little bit of latency for some smoother gameplay
I know this is sort of still doable with aliexpress kits, but I miss the days of being able to make “weird” builds. My first build was an Athlon XP-M 2500+. It was a mobile chip that was just a binned desktop chip. It used the same socket as desktop, had no IHS, and ran at a “lower voltage” thanks to the binning. Overclockers DREAM in back in like 2005.
