I was wondering why it won’t support Linux and the answer is anti cheat. Having played skate 1 and 3, I wondered why an anti cheat was needed. Apparently it’s an online game.

I have never played skate online before. Why would I want to play online over like just skating obstacles by myself? I’d rather have a skate able game in my pocket without multiplayer than multiplayer

I just run i3wm. It’s easier to do get to where I’m going if it never installs gnome to begin with.

I’m only on Arch because of the AUR. I don’t have to manually intervene every six months like I used to, but there’s still manual intervention i dislike. With the AUR being attacked, while still usable, it kind of takes away from why I’m using arch over, say, gentoo. Might as well see what else is out there

I suppose if time has indeed passed by 15 years I could give it another shot. I’m moving my mail server from bookworm to trixie by… getting another VPS, testing out configs against trixie, then switching over

Does that have issues? Part of the reason I’m looking for a rolling release is way back in the late 2000’s, you could upgrade Ubuntu but things always broke and so you might as well reinstall

AFAIK, GPS works by fetching signals from satellites.

If you disable your Bluetooth/wifi antenna, you won’t know your relative location to other devices. If you disable your cellular antenna, you won’t know your relative location to cell towers. I presume that you would need some of that data to know your position relative to satellites but maybe I’m missing something. Maybe it receives data from satellites directly?

Have you tried risk management instead? You can turn off your cellular network, wifi network, and Bluetooth. Hell, you can just toggle on air plane mode. This should theoretically turn off GPS too.

If this isn’t enough management then you’re suspecting that the OS is somehow keeping track of you or there’s some firmware that is bypassing OS controls to track you. Unless you are doing something highly illegal or you are someone highly important, I highly doubt this is the case.
