  • Ok but I did lol at pulling of a complete submersion. Also, it’s a little funny that they seem to know at some level that this ideology will piss off their wives/gf (as they wrote), but still advocate doing it. I guess all their wives and gfs must be woke? Or maybe women are too woke and therefore they never had wives and gfs to begin with?

The sentiment here is obviously terrible but at least there can be a laugh at how stupid it is. I mean…its so full of typos how could you ever think this person is trustworthy

  • I understand that fairly well, and totally get it. The us should never have had the power and influence it had before all this, and it’s long overdue for other countries to be more mistrustful based on how deeply broken and unstable the country has been even before trump.

I think it’s important to understand that setting the country on fire as you point out is not quite as simple here though. For starters the country is enormous and most people are destitute with limited means of transportation, even getting to their states capital building for example is outside the realm of possibility. Then consider our laws are so backwards in many states anyone who, for example, is peacefully protesting but obstructing a roadway can legally be run over and murdered. And that every trump supporter (1/3 of the county, appx) has a dozen assault rifles at home that they would love to use on anyone who dares complain about their lord and Savior.

None of this is to say that protests aren’t possible or the country shouldn’t be on fire. Several million of us marched a couple weeks back for example. More violent protests are coming but would be suicide without strong organization, and even with it is very likely to have an enormous death toll. One that many of us will still be willing to pay, once it can be as impactful as possible.

In a much broader sense, though, I would like to say I don’t believe it is justified to blame EVERY citizen for the actions of their leadership, especially in “democracies” as deeply broken as the US. I don’t hate every Russian because I don’t believe the all hate Ukraine and love Putin. I don’t hate every Israeli since many of them still don’t support genocide and are unable to stop their leaders from being warmongers. I don’t hate every German who lived through Hitler since many didn’t want that either. Hate the people in charge, hate the people who support them and helped them get in charge, but support the victims of those people. Collective punishment and the notion that EVERYONE in a country should pay for the actions of its leadership is still a war crime and ignores the people who do everything they can to stop it, even when it doesn’t work (yet)

  • Having that soil requires land, which a ton of people don’t have, or access to a social safety net which what little of it exists is actively being gutted. Where I live cars can legally run over any protestor in the road with no repercussions and the cops and legal system would cheer for them to do it. These are all differences vs the articles you linked previously. Resisting before we are organized right now is literally suicide, and even once organized many will still die (though it will likely be worth it at that point)

I share your anger, genuinely, but this is some pretty extreme victim blaming. This is unfortunately not the first or the last fascist regime the world has seen. Do you blame the Jews for “letting” Hitler kill them in camps, or the Chinese for “letting” themselves be run over by tanks? There absolutely are people to blame here and you are right to be livid with them but the remaining non-propgandized leftists in the states are just not it.

You are asking the remaining people who share your anger in the us to literally commit suicide by cop (or angry mob or life as a slave in private prison), which is just not helpful.

  • The big assumption here is that the website had time or money invested in it. I feel like the vast majority of websites these days are just ai garbage with enough ads to prevent you from even reading the thing and give your computer herpies as a bonus. The era of good faith advertising where the ads were reasonable and balanced with the quality of content is long gone. Most sites are now explicitly designed for exploitive data harvesting and endless ad delivery.

Of course, some websites are exceptions to this and adblock can easily be toggled off for those websites if you really want to support them. Taking off protections for a trusted partner though is quite different from raw dogging the whole internet
