There are some decent ones out there. That Windows shortcut always sucked ass compared to their character map, and that wasn’t great either.

ClamAV. And having it built-in is called bloatware.

Games@lemmy.world•Lutris now being built with Claude AI, developer decides to hide it after backlashEnglish
138·20 days agoAI is immeasurably shitty, both in terms of code quality and of morality. The fact that this developer is hiding his use of it from his community is despicable. I will never use Lutris again, nor will I allow PRs from this developer on any repos of mine. Fuck AI, and fuck strycore (deceitful bastard and Lutris “developer”).

Technology@lemmy.world•Claude Code deletes developers' production setup, including its database and snapshots — 2.5 years of records were nuked in an instantEnglish
241·25 days agoGood. Anyone foolish enough to write code with a slop machine produces only slop. That garbage should’ve been deleted anyway.
That’s entirely ignoring the fact that this person didn’t have any backups elsewhere.
If you can’t think, you can’t code.

World News@lemmy.world•I am a 15-year-old girl. Let me show you the vile misogyny that confronts me on social media every day | AnonymousEnglish
151·1 month agoI would note that this is not necessarily true. When referring to sex rather than gender, it is common—and when used in the context “male or female,” etc. It’s not an evil word—some people just misuse it. It is similar to “it” which is not a bad word in any way, but if you call someone “it” they will likely be offended.
Use of the word female does not indicate misogyny. Deliberate objectification of women through such a consistent word choice is different.

No, we absolutely deserve it because privacy is a fundamental right.
