Yes, it does. As does weakening the USD by pumping crypto. Look into how the world order works.

It is blatantly a means to draw us close to Russia and alienate our NATO allies.
Because of the separation of powers and checks and balances we have in the US, he doesn’t have unilateral power to do whatever he wants. He can typically only inch toward Putin’s goals. Why do you think he is trying to weaken our relationships with our allies through tariffs and talk of land grabs?
Trump says a lot of shit. He also said Ukraine shouldn’t have fought back.
Actions speak louder than words.
It’s only the first week.
In his previous term, he had to be forced by Congress to keep sanctions against Russia in place. Getting rid of them was one of his first priorities.
Putin didn’t tell him to pound sand. Putin holds the leash. Everything Donald Trump says and does is to advance Russian interests.
That is what will happen.
Ok I read it.
Here’s my take.
This is a set up. Putin now has to say “ok, ok, we’ll make a deal!”
Then he says he’ll end the operation in Ukraine but only if they retain taken territory.
Then Trump gets to say that’s reasonable, and Zelenskyy becomes the disagreeable one for saying no.
Trump then turns on Zelenskyy.
I give it 3 months before this chain of events becomes reality.
It wasn’t my intention to condescend; I just figured you might not understand that the US’ strength is primarily due to the fact that the USD is the currency the world trades in. Weakening the USD has a lot of implications for changing the world order, which would benefit Russia.
Many years ago, Russia and china tried to develop an alternative currency to use in the global energy market. Weakening the US is a major goal for Putin, and so it is for Trump.
