why you gotta be so rude about it? like we’re forced to live here, your bragging doesn’t help anyone
I read the whole article and I’m still kinda confused what the “we” in the title is referring to.
Also and addition to the ‘non disabled people pushing for accomodations even when it isn’t needed then not listening to the disabled people’ conversation, /s should only be used when the sarcasm isn’t obvious.
The entire r/fuckthes sub is autistic people saying how it ruins jokes then non autistic people saying “nO iTs FoR pEoPlE wItH aUtIsM” and saying the sub is ableist and its so annoying how they won’t listen to the very people they’re claiming to fight for.
Not to say I think /s is useless, it definitely has a place when sarcasm is iffy, a good example is making fun of conservatives where people might think you’re serious.
Also the /hj (half joking) one is SO infuriating because there’s 2 halves and one of them is a joke but it doesn’t say which one. It’s never really been an issue for me personally, but it’s a bad system that gets on my nerves.
I’m not sure if I’m putting my thoughts into words well enough to get my point across without sounding like an asshole.
idk I just have some controversial opinions on tone indicators that’s minorly annoying to me and thought this would be a good place to share.
holy shit new LGBTQ just dropped
Sidenote, the modern web is so fucked because how am I supposed to teach a kid that I would trust the random website “paper.wtf” I have never seen before with literally “meow” randomly above their article MORE than businessinsider.com which is like at the top of every search result
so you’d pay if there was a free trial?
I’ve gotten that before too
it’s only 3 years old so I wouldn’t consider it an old system. I think atleast 5 years is old for a console
I would consider it underpowered compared to competitors but not outdated (and imo I don’t think better hardware is needed)
can you explain? did they do something special or did they just release a game like by queers in the dedicated queer month? (I’ve only gotten through the tutorial of Undertale and that’s it lol)
I wish I could close or move windows around with my brain. It would be so nice.
I’m locking my answer in on the old Minecraft music. Literally EVERYONE knows it.
just marketing I assume. duo has always been a weird marketer
I bought borderlands 2 the other week and it’s been a blast on my SteamDeck. Unfortunately it seems it’s one of those games that loves to connect online all the time, like it’ll kick me out of single player if it detects wifi and make me reload into… singleplayer, but online. with 0 differences.
I probably would’ve been better off pirating it tbh.
damn
put that on my tombstone
it’s not for everyone 🤷♀️
Doom Eternal is one of my favorite games precisely because you switch weapons so often and are a slaughter machine. I beat the dlcs and had a blast. I enjoyed the difficulty honestly, it forced me to get better and actually feel like I ‘deserved’ to have the power of the doomslayer. The Marauder has to be my favorite enemy in all of gaming. He was SO hard the first time but once you learn how to counter him you can FUCK HIM UPP. It’s so satisfying to completely 180 him and turn him to a pile of gibs. The 2 at once fight in the first DLC was my favorite encounter of the whole game.
Tutorial hints were super annoying though, however you can just turn them off in settings.
2016 was boring for me tbh. Super excited for dark ages.
Also, most school laptops are old. Someone did this at my school and got charged (iirc) $175 since it was the really old kind
dang. That was supposed to be my go to OS once I got my data backed up.
any chance someone could recommend another distro for me?
it would be on my Laptop. Fairly new, Intel IRIS cpu, no dedicated GPU (can get specs if needed).
I’m going into UNI for comp sci next year
I want KDE as a requirement.
I would prefer it to be arch based so my knowledge can be transferred to messing with my steam deck, but not a requirement.
I also tinkered my previous distros to death by messing with terminal commands I didn’t know (it’s how you learn!). I would prefer something to back it up if I accidentally delete a million packages like last time but I don’t know if that would be something dependent on the OS or just a program.
I don’t really understand what immutable is, but I think my SteamDeck is immutable so I think I want it 🤷♀️
any recommendations/tips would be appreciated 🩷
