Same but then I found out that most people I know pay close to $500/year in subscriptions alone. Some don’t even remember all the subscriptions they have! A guy at my work was saying that money was really tight and he saved a ton just by cancelling his Adobe and Capcut subscriptions. That’s on top of at least 3-4 streaming platforms as well.

Can you believe the developers of that app are paying real money for ads for it? I get Quittr ads online and Facebook all the time. Someone is paying money to try and convince me to not to wank. I can’t imagine a bigger waste of money.

Exact opposite experience as you. I put in a good 25 hours before I dropped it from all the toxicity. If you accidentally hit someone or your laser drone friendly fired they grenade you, harass you on voice chat, and purposefully don’t revive. Always get kicked at the end of the match. I used to play CS:GO back when it wasnt free and I eventually left for the same reason. I feel just any online game where you have the ability to kill your own team devolves to this.

It’s why I stopped playing all multiplayer games tbh. People are fucking feral.

I don’t like being used or taken advantage of. Simple as. When you have a Microsoft product, you are used by Microsoft. You PAY them for their operating system and then they SPY on your computer interactions. You buy their product and then you become their product as they make money off of tailoring ads to you based on where your mouse moves, what you click on, the contents of the files that you upload to OneDrive (that they then use to train Copilot with).

Linux is a tool. It helps me interface with the computer. It doesn’t have an agenda behind it that involves exploiting me for money. Linux is built on the assumption that humans are humans and not wealth extraction batteries.

The goal is to desensitize the general population into accepting thin clients instead of actual computers so that they can rent their OS as a cloud subscription.

This gives companies more control over content you consume plus your behaviours. It also gives governments more granular control over their citizens which is in vogue considering democracy is out and barbarism and force are back in.

It’s because they know that they ARE above the law. They’ve gotten away with things that would spell life in prison for you or I. They have the head of the America regime cozied up to. They were all at several dinner parties on Little St. James Island.

I used to work as a software trainer at a big corporation. More than half don’t understand file structures or keyboard hotkeys or can even distinguish a web browser from their file explorer.

What part of this is humour? America has several death camps at the moment. People are actively disappearing from the system and can no longer be looked up. No one in the entire regime is able to locate them.

In Canada we don’t censor that sort of stuff so watching the CBC stream was funny. All applause then the couch pest showed up and the entire stadium mood changed. Americans truly don’t realize they are jokes outside of their country.
