Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•Garuda on Surface Pro 5 - performance nightmareEnglish
3·1 year agoWhen installing a new kernel, you basically stop getting kernel updates from the main repository, right?
I really have to look into all this a bit more I guess.

Funnily enough, Bluetooth is already working. I’d say the only thing missing is touch screen and, well, proper GPU performance.
17% is not “the majority”.

67·1 year agoMight be an unpopular opinion, but Kjhima is massively overrated and his games overhyped.
If the story doesn’t make sense, “well it’s Kojima” isn’t a proper response.
Anyways, not every game is for everyone, so have fun with it!

131·1 year agoThe second part simply isn’t true. Look at the ToS wording (US version). Nintendo added a clause specific to the device’s functioning, not only to online services.

1029·1 year agoFunny how the comments in this thread went from “haha he’s degoogling on YouTube?” to “do you believe in rehabilitation?” - “HE’S A NAZI!!!”.
It truly feels like back in the good old Reddit days. You either get popcorn or your pitchfork. There’s nothing in-between.

Hall effect sticks probably would have increased the price, and then people would complain about how greedy Nintendo is even more than they do now.
It’s always the same story. Whatever they do, it’s not good enough or too expensive or whatever. In the end, the thing will be sold out nonetheless.

1·1 year agoFor which platform?
For pc, I’d be interested.
If you want to stay in the Nintendo eco system (or at least have no issue with that), the Switch 2 would be the better choice - better hardware, more options with the mouse feature and placing on a TV or display, etc.
If you want to be more flexible, like tempering around with a bit of config stuff and game / graphics settings, controller layout, etc. then I suggest the Steam Deck. I can honestly say that it’s a lot of fun. Non-Steam games are sometimes tedious to install and configure Proton with the right version of proton etc, bit you don’t have to do any of that, it’s just options that come with the device.
Curious to see what “integration” will actually mean.
