Most people can’t afford to go to Universities for the purpose of research. Most people go to Universities for a specific college (every university is requured to have multiple colleges to be accedited) to learn information that is already known. Which is where I think we have it set up wrong. It shouldn’t cost large sums of money for a person to learn what is already known, the information should be made available for free. The tests universal and unattached to a University name. Were you able to pass the test showing proficiency in A, B and C. Yes or no, that is what we need to know you are proficient in for this job. It doesn’t matter if you went to Alabama, Yale, Community college, online seminars, w.e. Researching knowledge we do not currently possess is what I think the University setup should be pushed back towards.

Are you paying to know those things? I think you’re paying for a piece of paper that said you went there. The number of employers who have hired me for what my Bachelor’s of Science is for: 0. Programmers are probably screwing themselves if they are going to program later in life and using an LLM to write it. But something like 60-90 out of the 120 credit hours for that Bachelor’s degree are not programming courses. If I was in college today I could safely say I would know which courses I needed to pay attention to, and which ones I don’t. Hell I took Archeology of Caribbean Piracy one semester, fun course though.

The way this is set up it also won’t get you “into” your account if Windows Hello is turned on and required, as the TPM requirement will verify the RSA type key won’t match on the backend? So you would get dumped at the login screen, allowing you to access the password reset screen, requiring you to use to password reset tool (needing the old password still) but then once reset the new password would sync with the hello pin/fingerprint/faceID as that machine is on the network, allowing the user to get back in remotely without having to physically show up at the machine. So it can save you a phone call or 2 to IT and keep a 2 factor authentication up to date remotely without locking the user out. (Not all of these authentication options are as good as others, but standardly you block the ones your company doesn’t want via group policy. )

True, but in the U.S. it’s illegal to upload not download/stream. So you should be fine. Especially with large companies downloading terabytes of data to train AI and fighting that it should be overlooked. You don’t upload any data, and can in theory download movies/shows if you had space and wanted to watch them later. That’s rare for me though. I use a RustDesk setup if I want to do so, and remote in from my phone’s start the movie. Pause, hit download and it downloads not as a torrent but as a normal download. A .mkv or such, then play with a video player.

I set up Streamio on pop_os with a paid plug in $15 for 180 day subscription. It has access to just about any movie/movie I could ever want to watch. Which since it is streaming them it takes up no room on the drive. Plugged it into my tvs HDMI port and use a mouse keyboard on the coffee table. The is alright, it’s best to know a name to searcg, but it’s pretty spiffy without, you can scroll forever it seems. (Most of the info is for other shit, in Pop it took maybe 15 mins setup, mostly creating accounts for the site. I installed it on Mint Cinnamon, and my fiancees W11 laptop so she can watch stuff in the room

Ultimate guide to Stremio + Torrentio + RD Guide Opening Notes (important stuff, please read) This configuration of the Stremio app will allow you to stream movies/TV from most devices, with the exception being IOS devices such as the iPhone and iPad. If you want to stream from those devices, this guide is not for you.

You can use this Stremio configuration to stream movies/TV on most other platforms, including Windows, Mac, Android, FireOS (includes Fire Stick and Fire TV), Linux, AndroidTV, and even the Steam Deck.

Part 3: Torrentio

Go to Torrentio Lite - Stremio Addon

Towards the bottom of the page, select the “Debrid Provider” option and select “Real Debrid” from the drop-down menu. This will cause a new text box to appear underneath.

Copy the API key from this link https://real-debrid.com/apitoken and paste it into the “RealDebrid API Key**”** box

In the Debrid Options menu: Check the box “Don’t show download to debrid links” and leave the other boxes unchecked.

Click “Install” at the bottom. It should open the Stremio app and prompt you with an “Install Addon” window. Click the green install button at the bottom.

Optional but highly Recommended - In Stremio, click the puzzle piece in the top right to view your addons. Click “My Addons” and uninstall the “WatchHub” addon. It’s an eyesore and it clutters your streams list.

Now that you have completed the setup, you may install Stremio on any device of your choice (excluding IOS) and log in to your account to start streaming Movies/TV. Refer to the section below for Stremio installation on FireOS devices (Fire Stick, FireTV).

FireOS devices (Fire Stick, FireTV) After you have gone through the setup on another device, watch this video on how to install Stremio on your FireOS device https://youtu.be/U1o-scADuIg and then log into your account in the Stremio app. At this point you’re good to stream. It will download everything that you just set up and sync your shows across all devices. However, some FireOS devices may not be capable of 4k streaming.

Edit 10/16/2023 - if you are on firestick, make sure to download the Android TV apk from the Stremio downloads section. The youtube video linked above was created before Stremio had an Android TV version. The UI is much improved over the base android UI for use on a smart tv.

Linux Use the flatpak and everything should work. At the time of making this guide, I had issues in the setup process on Linux but I’m pretty sure that was my fault for having weird defaults on my Arch install. You should be able to complete the setup process on Linux without issues and streaming is guaranteed to work. In the case that you run into issues, Just complete the setup steps on a recommended device first, then install and log into the Stremio app on your Linux device.

Additional information YOU DO NOT NEED A VPN.

Account sharing: You should only share your Stremio account with people who are connected to the same WiFi network as you. If you do not follow this rule, your Real Debrid account may be suspended.

Bugs/Glitches:

Sometimes, an episode of a show or a movie will display “No streams found” even though it should be available. This has only happened to me a handful of times, but the problem will resolve itself eventually.

If the picture is black but the audio is still playing, you should go back and select a stream with a different resolution.

Issue: No streams are appearing at all, or none of them work. Here are the possible explanations:

Your Real Debrid Subscription has expired. Go to Real-Debrid and check your account status.

Real Debrid servers are down/undergoing maintenance. Wait an hour or so, and then try again.

You made a mistake while following the guide. My DMs are open if you can’t figure it out. I’ll probably try to help.

How is it just blamed on “the west”. China, India and other “Eastern” countries are in the UN as well. Would you not have to say it just shows they care nothing about the international community and it is really about their control and power as well? That was the Senate not Congress, but yes those are the numbers. The Senate holds terms 3x longer than Congress and thus do not represent their constituents as accurately. They are a not proportionatly representing the population which is why many believe they should be reformed. (1 member represent less than 600,000 people in one state, while another member represents ~19,000,000 people.). Their votes both count as 1.

So while the majority of Democrats now have an unfavorable view of Israel, where as in 2022 the majority had a favorable view, this takes much longer to get representation in the Senate. Are there representatives that vote against their constituents beliefs, sure. But when a change happens that fast it is very hard for a Representative based government to be able to move fluid enough to represent what the people want vs the payment checks coming from their campaign funders.

A dictatorship is not the answer, but we need voting systems that get accurate representation of the majority of the population much more efficiently. Unfortunately that would make us more of a democracy and the oligarchs don’t want that. Because we would vote to better the majority and shrink the wage gaps. Which inevitably makes it harder for them to control the media when they don’t have as much money to buy all of it. Making more voting go to help the people and not their pockets.

Yes support for Israel was bipartisan. With minority support of Congress to not support Israel.

Biden refused to break the law. If you want legislation to change taxes it has to go through Congress. It was 50 Republicans 2 independents and 48 Democrats for the first half and then 51 Republicans, 2 independents and 47 democrats in the second half of his administration. To fundamentally change things you either can do so legally by having majority support or illegally by overthrowing the government. Impeachment also takes at least 50% of Congress to file the articles. If Biden actually did something illegal he would have been impeached, yet while Republicans voted 50/51 against anything that mattered, they never could get all 51 of them to agree with impeachment, because Republicans were the ones who had to have agreed on EVERY piece of legislation that passed during his administration or it wouldn’t have passed. Saying he was currupt was always a publicity stunt.

That and if you remember he’s been on calls with Putin for the last few weeks. Putin hired North Koreans to help invade Ukraine. NK and Russia were worried South Korea might assist in defending Ukraine. So naturally. Trump has to start scrutinizing Korea more
