5·6 days agoAlso, the one feature I’ve come across (long press a link for a preview) is actually pretty useful sometimes. I’m actually impressed they discovered a use for generative AI that isn’t annoying and stupid.

1·6 days agoMe personally I don’t have a Pixel but I looked into Graphene and I’m told banking apps don’t work and also tap to pay.
Linux works on pretty much every PC ever and every app can be installed. It would be nice to have that for phones!

2·6 days agoEnd-to-end encrypted messaging protects against eavesdroppers in transit.
But if the ENDS are both compromised… I wish there were more/better custom ROMS out there. Hopefully Linux Phone gets some love.

2·7 days agoI’m wondering if you have the “cookie notices” and “annoyances” filters disabled? They are not checked by default. It’s under settings > filter lists. FWIW the page loaded cleanly for me.

4·9 days agoFramework, but their laptops are also about twice as expensive as equivalent models from other brands.
Eh, I just ran some comparisons and Framework is only about $100 more than the cheapest equivalent in another brand with the same CPU/Memory. $200 more with Windows.

5·24 days agoSometimes yes in my experience, but mostly it works fine. I suspect it’s a game of whack-a-mole with VPN companies constantly rotating IPs.
Not sure how Kagi will help with my supermarket loyalty card but thanks anyway
