Or, and hear me out…
If you’re working on your credit score… Go for it!
I was able to get an Xbox Series X and made on-time monthly payments for it over 2 years. It opened a new line of credit and regular automatic payments toward it did wonders for my credit score.
They aren’t going to give you a special deal
Still don’t know if I can easily play a Steam Deck in docked mode on my TV 100% of the time like I can with my Switch.
The kids love this one!

I’m not at all defending the price, but am secretly hoping this outcry will make it easier for me to be an early adopter. I still don’t have a PS5 due to how burned I got trying to preorder one.
We’re only paying a measly $70 for the Switch 2 version. Just get a third job and be grateful for the opportunity to purchase the DLC at $20. Then you can use the last of your hundred dollar bill for that one tech demo game!
When I was a kid, I’d spend hours screwing around in Mario Kart 64 before Forza Horizons was even a thing.
Glad to see that Mario Kart is actually doing a Forza.
It’s going to be so much fun being able to frolic around in Free Roam without having to try to tune out Lakitu telling me to turn the fuck around.
Drip fed over the course of several years.
And the game you specifically wanted to play? It’s one of the last ones to be dropped.
Probably not going to happen, but I think it would be awesome if it’s like the 3DS where they realize the cost is too much, then they lower the price significantly and the early adopters who sacrificed their firstborns for it will have some sort of ambassador program.
Apart from both being TV/Handheld hybrid consoles, I’m not understanding why people think Switch/2 and Steam Deck are in direct competition with each other. They aren’t. They’re in totally separate leagues.
While I’m not defending the price point ($80 is $80, JFC), after watching Nintendo Life’s hands on play of the game… I can see why Nintendo decided to have that as the price.
I’m definitely going for the bundle so I can avoid that price, however.
I don’t criticize people for how they spend their money. Do as you will.
Nice straw man though.
The problem arises when you believe I’m trying to make some sort of argument. I am not.
I was nicely trying to point out your hypocrisy. But since that didn’t work, let me spell it out for you:
Stop being a dick.
I’ve seen plenty of “punching down” towards people who buy a game simply to enjoy it. It’s kind of happening in this thread.
What. The. Fuck.
They haven’t been doing this from the beginning? That’s shady as all hell.
