The difference is Saudi Arabia is always evil and the US is only frequently evil. Always when a Republican is president but also occasionally when a Democrat is president.

So honestly you should be against people being religious and try and discourage it. Though yeah its not super helpful to look at individual religious people and hate them openly. That’s a good way to just harden them right back against you.

Its just that usually private ones suck as well.

When I was a little kid and I ran into cheaters in Halo: Custom Edition I still hated them and would never do it. I don’t think being a bored little kid is an excuse.

That said if you don’t do it anymore that’s a little more excusable at least you stopped.

I’m on my brother’s premium. I told myself if my brother stopped wanting to pay for it I’d pay for it myself because I hate ads that much.

On the other hand, if Youtube itself takes it away from me I’m going to just stop watching Youtube.

And while none of those things are wrong per se, the general vibe of asking about all of those things was very weird and pervy.

I know that this is all just theater to just destroy any semblance of free speech and privacy on the internet but if I’m completely honest I also don’t even understand people who freak out about kids looking at porn. Like, I get protecting children obviously from predators (fucking Roblox), but also I saw hardcore porn on the internet super early when I was like 8 and the only trauma I ever felt was the fear of being caught looking at it by my parents, who were otherwise pretty chill about me seeing really violent media.

And before me and the internet, kids were looking at their grampa’s/dad’s porn magazines or finding it in the woods or getting some 18 year old to buy it for them. It was harder but I’m telling you they found it.

I feel like a bigger concern for kids right now is microplastics, lead poisoning, and climate change and you don’t see nearly the same hysteria about that shit in mainstream politics.

I did not look that deep. Its not been important enough since again I mostly have been using my Deck more than my Desktop anyway.

Performance is still noticeably worse. Based on some cursory research, the 4070 Super gets like ~20% less FPS on Bazzite compared to Windows on a 4070 Super and I tend to play high fidelity shooters on my desktop so frames per second matters.

IDK I liked 7 pretty much as much as I like XP. For me it was 10 that was just alright.

My brother convinced me to switch to 11 when I built my most recent gaming desktop and I somewhat regret listening to him but I know dual booting is a waste of time for me and I’m not quite ready to make the full jump to Linux because my desktop has a 4070 Super. It’ll ahve to wait until my next PC. Fortunately, I don’t have the version of 11 with Recall pre-installed at least.

I use my Steam Deck more than my gaming desktop these days anyway.

This merely reinforces my decision to not buy it because it only is going to have manipulative EBMM for its main modes instead of a server browser. Even if Portal has a server browser, they know the average player is going to stick to their match making system.

I bought 2042 and I did play it a lot but my experience was sort of existentially dreadful. I kind of understood its match making was keeping me playing longer by sandbagging my progression on its overly bloated exp requirements. It was like watered down drip feed fun. Fun enough and low barrier enough that I kept jumping on. Every other BF game felt way more mechanically rich and because they lacked match making they were more fulfilling to learn and play. You start out sucking, and you slowly get better, feeling yourself win more often over time. There is satisfaction in starting out bad and being rewarded for your efforts to learn the game that EBMM steals from you.

Its painful for me though. BF6 looks like such a waste. It checks so many boxes for me in that it looks like a great pvp military shooter: fast TTK, robust map editor, point buy loadout system.

But all wrapped up in typical corporate bullshit.

I don’t like Asmon but my understanding is he supports SKG. Am I wrong?

Also I saw a clip of SomeOrdinaryGamers, which indicated that he tempered his support with a dash of (wrong) both-sides-ism. But it was only a clip.
