Instead, these searches return a list of traditional web links.
“Oh…oh okay. So you know what that is. Why are unable to provide traditional web links for ALL my searches? Because, I’m gonna be honest with you Google. I never asked for you to ‘summarize’ my web results and the fact that you can turn it off at your discretion tells me that you could turn it off for everyone.”
If anyone has the capital (both political and monetary) and the ability to execute, Narcos certainly do. Assuming they aren’t obsessed with greed, if they made some sort of public announcement saying that they are patriots and would not only boycott US markets but would engage with other producers to stop their own shipments, I would love to see the fall out. I suspect it wouldn’t be visible. After all, I suspect that most cocaine drug users in the US aren’t the most reliable voting contingent.
But it would be fun to see how Trump reacts to it.
It’s almost as if someone figured out that conservatives, in an effort to feel the need to play the victim, will react negatively and thus be more engaged when presented with non-conforming news.
A sort of dissonance…that happens cognitively.
That’s often my reply. “well we haven’t tried it yet. We’ve tried trickle down economics for almost 4 decades. Why don’t we try a wealth tax for 20 years? You know, for science? Just to see how it works. THEN if it doesn’t work, we can roll it back. How does that sound?”
Absolutely. I’m just saying even if we really squint and try to pass off his garbage as something positive, he doesn’t deserve anything from a foreign body, let alone a moment of silence.
Why would Kirk even be eligible for a moment of silence?!
He wasn’t a member of state. He wasn’t even on someone’s staff.
He literally was just some guy. Not even a notable guy. Just some guy that was conservative who, AT BEST, said some controversial things.
I actually did this a few months ago. I switched out my 401k domestic mutual funds for international funds. I did a check on my investments and they are doing great.
I also divested from any federal bonds and only invested in local/state bonds.
It’s not much but it’s the right thing to do.
Exactly. South Korea doesn’t realize that this is Trump’s way of signaling that he needs a kick-back.
He needs money in his pocket in order for the workers to be released. Once they have them back, South Korea should pull out their investments in the US.
“Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.”
Conservatives only care about small government when they are the ones being oppressed by the federal government. Like when Congress passed laws banning slavery.
But they care about federal laws being forced onto states when they are the ones doing the oppressing. Like when they passed the Fugitive Slave Act.
They don’t care about their hypocrisy and, if anything, makes them want to do it more.
Would TSMC be considered a competitor to AMD?

Yes…prison
Another friendly reminder that PayPal is not a bank. They don’t carry FDIC insurance. They aren’t regulated like a bank and you agree that they can do fuck all to your money at any time for any reason or no reason.
In other words,
It’s only spyware if Google can’t monetize it. Which is ironic if you think about it.
Which is why I think the next big step is a blogsite that actually covers these without feeling like you are just reading a guy’s wank diary
There is a site that I frequent but due to this community’s instance rules, I won’t post it here.
The site is more of a forum/community than a blog but it’s pretty good.
The biggest issue with adult content in games is that it limits your market to adults that want that content. Which is already small to begin with. And you often can’t advertise the same way, which limits your audience further. You only find out about them through word of mouth or through places like Lemmy.
From the standpoint of the developer, your ROI is likely to be very small. I think that’s why VN are the most popular form of adult games, since they are easier to make than full games.
I didn’t know Kickstarter employees had a union.
I hope they get it. Hell, I’d ask for a 3 day work week now.
I always did mine on the upper left.
I get what you’re going for but this would absolutely wreck privacy. And depending on how those signatures are created, someone could create a virtual camera that would sign images and then we would be back to square one.
I don’t have a better idea though.
