Heaven forbid Asia has any eggs.
Heaven forbid Asia has any eggs.
Perhaps instead of finding and breaking fresh news they can add fresh perspectives to existing news stories? God knows folks need more than just the info blasted at them - they need to be reminded that there are other ways of interpreting events than what they are given.
This wasn’t something people voted for. Assholes took advantage of an election to cause as much chaos as possible in a nation that was apparently involved in every country imaginable and vital to many. It’s hard to constantly be told America is a shit bag when most of us are unable to make any changes and voted for completely opposite people.
Should have had a single tone growing in volume and intensity
Good safety by the AI devs to need a person at the wheel instead of full time code writing AI
They’re the same, just different scales of treachery.
It’s a pile of stones, previously unturned.
Also, everyone plays golf differently and someone will watch a pro take a swing and so try it themselves, only to fail awkwardly and in public. The lessons to be learned are misconstrued as golfing lessons when in fact it’s just an exciting story about how hard that kind of shot really is. Folks don’t seem to understand that a story isn’t giving directions but advice.
When there isn’t a need, there isn’t a reason. And egregious golf is gross.
So many passive leaders has caused the people to elect a reactionary one. The lack of foresight leaders show is part of why the dumbest voters back the most unstable people.
Russians aren’t smart but they are cruel. The entire point is to frustrate and harass while playing innocent. “It’s not an official Russian ship. It’s merchant vessels making lots of independent mistakes.”
They aren’t smart and don’t like being outsmarted by moves like… checks notes stopping all Russian merchant vessels to stop random independent incidents.
It’s all a show and Russian needs to be stopped by any means necessary. They use politeness as a weapon, hiding behind decorum with weak lies. Fuck them and grind their economy back into dust. Let east Asia conquer them again and help Russia become useful once more.
“If a service needs to be online to play, it will eventually be offline at peak times”.
Doesn’t mean it’s good or should spread as an idea.
Dictators eventually use the same playbook.
Damn, this video is garbage. Lots of yelling about smudging and “HOW COULD THEY?!” And then complains about how people aren’t implementing any effects like he says. And that part about “I told Epic Unreal 5.5 wasn’t ready!” Like he actually matters to Tim Sweeney.
Avoid the video. Nothing of substance or value is within.
It’s for the people who can’t figure it out and the only thing preventing them from using the knowledge poorly are clear instructions.
Another way to see that 15% drop is hinted at in the article:
EA FC generates around $2 billion annually, Reuters reports, with around $800 million of that made up by Ultimate Team.
Loot boxes made EA $800M last year. It’s easy to see why EA and other publishers demand MTX in games. Can we amend “Don’t preorder” with “and ignore micro transactions”?
At the same time, social networking is built into the most popular Chinese online shopping platforms, like Taobao, Tmall, and JD.com. They feature livestreamed videos of shopping influencers, and robust chat and photo-sharing functions, blurring the lines between social media and e-commerce.
The model has delivered: In 2023, TikTok’s Chinese sister app, Douyin, said its platform sales exceeded 2 trillion yuan ($2 billion). Xiaohongshu doesn’t disclose detailed figures, but the app’s aggressive expansion into social commerce in 2023 coincided with the first year it turned a net profit to the tune of $500 million.
So China has several profitable social media companies and a model that works regardless of the platform. It feels like Insta has tried this and doesn’t quite understand the mechanics but imitates showing influencer driven decisions. The difference is that western influencers sell their exposure while TikTok (et al) use influencers as their product and charge to alter the algorithm to expose the product to a targeted audience. It’s insidious because people will be shown something that they didn’t know they wanted and led to believe that they made the decision to get this thing. It’s Inception, but with our hobbies and interests.
The ramifications for niche porn are tremendous. Both weird categories of pornography and the idea that small groups will be fed a constant stream of their own unique interests. Imagine if you didn’t know this was happening and had an expensive hobby. Social media wants you to buy things and will give you the connection to spend instead of pursuing the hobby.
The hobby may soon not be about what we do but what we bought to show we are hobbyists. Consumption as participation. I guess we already do this with streaming entertainment, so why not?
And what, lose another 3 years and a third of the country’s young to losing the fight for Estonia? Russia is absolutely incapable of successfully invading anything. They couldn’t even stay in Syria when a bunch of untrained militia said they might show up later. Russia is weak.
Is this so the loans secured with X stock can’t be called in, forcing Elon to sell the collateral to pay back the loan?
Sure seems like a bullshit business move to retain control of Tesla.
