My heart stopped. Sheesh.

ARC Raiders definitely has some server side checks. On launch day I was selling items too fast and got a pop up that I violated some constraint and that I was being sent back to the lobby with my inventory in the last good state.
That should honestly just be the norm.

I know you don’t need to hear this but just for the record, ARC Raiders just launched with EAC and works perfectly in Proton. This dude is either lying or ignorant, and I’m not sure which is worse.

Similar story with space Skyrim (can’t even remember its name). I don’t think I even had to select a reason I’m cancelling, I just stopped renewal and they immediately gave the entire $10 back. Can’t figure out why game pass is so unprofitable…

The secret is to just kill or not recruit the annoying characters. I’ve played the entire story a few times and I always forget Karlach is in the game because I kill her every time. Astarion too, can’t stand the rogue stereotype.
That being said I did leave a negative Steam review for BG3 and I get made fun of for liking the game and not recommending it lol

After playing last night, it’s not back breaking to queue up but it’s full body cast inducing getting a “bad” third player because there’s no forfeit method and you can’t even intentionally spike the run until the first boss.

That’s literally still possible. The change is that your attribute points are distributed by you after you sleep, rather than being based on what skills you leveled up in that level. If anything this allows you to be more overpowered, I’m level 5 and have 75 strength and endurance. That’s unthinkable without minmaxing.

I’m as anti “AI” as they come but there’s a master Japanese carpenter on YouTube, Shoyan, who goes through the trouble of translating his commentary to English, someone proofs it because the grammar is usually perfect, and then runs it through a comforting racially ambiguous old man voice from ElevenLabs I think. And honestly? It works really well. It’s obviously not a natural voice but it’s not fake enough to be disorienting or annoying like the early types were.
Hell yes! That was the point of my rambling though I never quite got there. I was wondering if curriculums had caught up yet, to at least look at the modern system languages. Sounds like you’re at a good program.
If Rust had been around when I was an underclassman, I would have been totally locked into the full CompSci track. Instead, I got introduced to Java and C (and calculus…) and that looked like a nightmare compared to what I had been playing with in JS/Python land, so I noped on out of there and got a Comp Sci Lite degree.
Years later, I’m just completely in love with Rust.
Maybe the final piece will pull it all together? I hope they make me look like an idiot
Square chickened out after manchildren ree’d about the really interesting changes made in Remake, kinda walking it back and trying to pretend it didn’t happen. And ironically, that’s kind of just worse, because those nerds are never going to be happy with what happened in Remake and its ramifications in Rebirth and ReThree, my nerds are mourning for what we could’ve had, and Square looks kinda pathetic and easily bullied.
It’s not a fucking reveal, Kagi tells you exactly what engines they include in their results.
Respectfully, I don’t think there’s any way they could remaster MGSV. Conceptually or in execution. I replayed it in 2023 and it was even better than I remembered. They could try and shove DLSS into Fox engine but it wouldn’t do anything but look and run worse.
