Can’t have competence now can we?
Competence like trusting a Moscow-headquartered company that’s helped Russia develop spy drones for its illegal invasion of Ukraine to scan your government’s systems with its proprietary, frequently updated AV? By that definition, sure, this decision was “incompetent”.
Competence, yes. Trust, no. To use a Hungarian proverb: it’s like having a goat guard the cabbages.
