Smoking outside is not harmful to others.

Of course it is wtf? There is no safe level of second hand smoking exposure.
If you can smell it, you are inhaling health problems.

Do we care about air quality now?

If we do, there’s way more harmful shit in our air than a smoker, but nobody’s doing shit about that.

Yes. Yes we do. Second hand smoke impacts health directly. And yeah, there is harmful shit in the air. That’s why countries are implementing regulations about exhaust fumes and shit.

A lot of them are already in effect?

Just look up Sunset in the Ruhrgebiet from the 70s. You could see an entire rainbow in the sky because of pollution. We fixed that, now factories have to build massive filters into their exhaust systems.

At least in the EU, Catalysts in cars filter out a lot of harmful stuff. Factories have to monitor their exhaust fumes. And if you think all the regulation in the west did nothing, I welcome you to visit Tehran, where these regulations aren’t in place. Smoking is healthier than breathing this air.

We can do more, we need to do more, but don’t pretend like no one is giving a shit about air quality.

Did you ever visit LA in the seventies? Because that’s a comment that could only come from someone who never visited LA in the seventies.
