    they might just kill windows. One might start thinking it’s intentional indeed. I imagine Azure is their new cash cow, and perhaps MS is pivoting.

      It’s not. It’s silicone valley’s insane strategy to hype tech to juice stock prices then build to meet the hype. Instead of doing the logical thing - build useful features and let them become popular to bring the hype. These companies are way more focused on wall street hype than their actual customers reactions to their products.

        They’re probably not pivoting but in FY2023 Azure made up 38% of their revenue, followed by Office 365 at 23%. That’s a lot of cloud service revenue.

        Is it sustainable? Honestly, it might. They sell a lot of stuff under the Azure umbrella and corporations lap that shit up. (Seriously; my employer is about ready to hire consultants to come up with additional eggs they can put in that particular basket.)
