I reckon that the next phone I get will be a Linux Phone.
I will keep my iPhone mini for those things where I need an Android or iPhone (banking, government, etc), but my daily driver will be something that I have complete control over.
I’m eagerly waiting for linux to be mature enough on phone hardware. What’s the current status? I know of postmarketOS and I know of stuff like the librem 5. Is there any other effort going on?
I’m not sure.
I want a Linux Phone or compact tablet with a premium quality camera.
I would be happy if it does not have a capability to run Android Apps; only native KDE or GNOME apps.
I would also be happy if it doesn’t support X and only works with Wayland.

The legacy of X, iOS and Android is a liability.
