Out of curiosity, why do you consider XML unpleasant to work with?

My work upgraded to Windows 11, now I have lag for a right click menu to appear, and once it does individual items (like Open with Notepad++) just show up as “Loading…” for several more seconds.

Intel had a rough time of it then, the Itanium and Pentium 4 were both dead ends design wise.

Except when I am forced to use a distro that only provides Gnome (looking at you RedHat).
