2·2 months agoI don’t know about D2L, but I know Canvas has the ability to do some crazy shit all in the browser itself. I never got to experience the administrative aspect, but during the PoC of Canvas I remember seeing that professors had the ability to see when / how long a user clicked off a tab.
He has not, but I don’t think this is the right channel
Seems weird to be heavily funded by the US gov, we are unaware of how many nodes are run by governments, and germany themselves have done traffic correlation attacks to de-anonymize users.
Those are in DC during protests all the time

1·3 months agoThey’re advertised to the public as “license plate readers” but can do way more than that. Fingerprinting cars based on bumper stickers, colors, dents, scratches, etc.
And if the ability to do all of that is baked into these cameras, it would be trivial to do the same for humans.
Depends on leadership. A bunch of slop loving execs think having the newest AI tool will make them be ahead of the curve

This might be what you’re looking for. Some more feature rich options might be available if you did more research (“OCR” or “Tesseract”)
I’m gonna be crucified for this take but I do think that should be the one thing kept at customs and border control.

Was traveling abroad and didn’t want to take my personal phone (border control on the way back).
My family and friends are too locked into the iOS ecosystem sadly
GrapheneOS was my daily driver for a little over two weeks. You can buy a used pixel 7 for ~$200. I liked it a lot
