James Bond would make a great CRPG but most people just want another shooter.
So many possible reason.
Linus has a history of scummy behavior which turns people off.
Everything gets boring eventually. Especially things that are supposed to be funny.
Google ads are extra obnoxious making the entire platform more annoying to use and most of us will never pay for youtube. Those ads are not even selling products I would be interested in. Investment scams, car accident claim ads, AI voiced robot panda. It just annoying noise.
Nothing lasts forever.
Im not much of a PC gamer. I never wrote that the issue is exclusive to independent or PC gaming. It’s an issue that happens often in pretty much every form of entertainment.
It wasn’t badly received. Sales numbers were not great. That’s the my point.
People always notice good games. Sometimes they just don’t have mass appeal or are marketed badly.
Okami, Beyond Good and Evil, Ico, Psychonauts, Gravity Rush, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Eternal Darkness, Vanquish, Titanfall, Rayman Origins, Alien Isolation, Jet Set Radio
There’s definitely a lot more but those are just some of my favorites.
This time.
Not always though. Many good to great games fall through the cracks and never make much money.
Customers should reward great developers like this.
Diablo with Destiny multiplayer 🤮
Giant advertisements within the game’s UI. It’s not F2P🤮
I was bored pretty quickly.
Lots of great options here already. I don’t see Larian’s Baldurs Gate 3 and Divinity Original Sin 2 here.
The screen gets a bit cramped in co-op but it’s perfectly playable and loads of fun playing these masterpiece RPGs on a couch with a significant other or a friend.
I wish I enjoyed Diablo 4 more so I could buy some DLC but it didn’t do it for me.
Decades of corporate consolidation only leads to higher consumer costs and record corporate profits.
Corporations should not be allowed to exist above a certain market cap. Break them up. Make them compete.
They will be useful for industry and business that uses software that won’t run on ARM systems. Just like there are places that use DOS to this day.
Does it matter much, x86/x64 is on its way out. Everyone has to jump on the ARM train or get left behind.
If you folks want to have a really hard time find a way to play the NES version of Mike Tyson’s Punch Out on original hardware with a CRT monitor and then play it on any emulator on a modern monitor. You will feel like you’ve aged 80 years.
I agree.
The wealthy do not care about countries or borders. Once a land is pilfered, their wealth makes it relatively easy to find another place to live.
It’s not short sighted for the wealthy. Over the last 40 years, the wealthy have amassed massive amounts of income and wealth. It worked out great for them and the politicians that they purchase.
I hope MS has the ability to release the console priced APU hardware to consumers in an unlocked system that allows consumers to install their own OS.
Every game is worth playing to see if its fun.
This one sucks and is the beginning of the FF7 cow being milked. It hasn’t gotten much better.
$110 per months or 10 gameplay hours whichever come first.
